The so-called tahini is a pure, unsalted paste made from ground sesame seeds. It is popular in macrobiotic cuisine, used in the vegan hummus spread and goes well with most cooked legume-based spreads. It softens sauces, dips and salad dressings, is great on pastries alone or in combination with honey, jam, etc. This tahini is made from sesame seeds that are gently air-roasted using renewable energy and immediately ground finely. The resulting paste naturally contains high-quality unsaturated oils, vitamins and minerals - calcium, iron, magnesium and vitamins B1 and B6. Because no additives, such as hydrogenated fats or emulsifiers, are used, oil separation may occur. This phenomenon is not a defect in quality and the paste can be stirred before use.
