This bamboo toothbrush is made for sensitive but thorough daily care of your teeth. The brush head meets the demands of modern design and, thanks to carefully developed ergonomics, it reaches even hard-to-reach places in the oral cavity. The shape and arrangement of the bristles correspond to premium conventional brushes. It is light, pleasant to the touch and, moreover, looks dignified and aesthetic on the sink. Thanks to it, you can avoid the use of non-degradable plastics even where this is otherwise quite common. Bristles hardness: soft Brush length: 18 cm Made in China. The brush handle is made of ground bamboo. Thanks to its ergonomic shape, it fits perfectly in your hand. The soft bristles take gentle care of your teeth. They are made of a mixture of nylon and vegetable plastic, the source of which is castor oil. They do not contain harmful BPA (Bisphenol-A) or phthalates. We recommend replacing your toothbrush regularly after 3 months. You can tell when the right time is when the fibers start to split. Our tip: When your toothbrush reaches the end of its useful life, you can break off its head and throw it in the mixed waste. The handle can be composted or reused - for example as a name tag for flower beds. Why is bamboo so great? Bamboo is an excellent renewable resource. It is the fastest growing plant on Earth. Thanks to its natural antimicrobial content, there is no need to use fertilizers or pesticides during its cultivation. How about the degradability of bamboo toothbrushes? Bamboo is a purely natural material and is fully compostable.  However, the bristles are different. Although they contain a high proportion of plant ingredients, they are not fully degradable and therefore not compostable.  Until the 1930s, most toothbrushes used pig bristles, and that is also the only option today to have a toothbrush made of 100% biodegradable material (if it has a body made of wood). We considered using pig bristles as a natural material. However, we consulted dentists about their use, according to whom they are not an ideal solution today. Pig bristles tend to harbor more microbes, which does not meet today's hygiene requirements and is essentially ineffective. Nylon does not have this problem. And since it is not an animal product, it also fits in with a vegan approach to life. Bamboo bristles? Some companies claim that the bristles of their brushes are made of bamboo. If you get your hands on such a toothbrush, a simple test is enough: take a match and see what happens if you expose the bristles to a flame. If the bristles look like nylon and start to melt in a flame like they were made of plastic, it means only one thing: THEY ARE made of plastic. No toothbrush has bamboo bristles because they simply aren't made of them. Try to imagine wooden bristles - and bamboo is apparently a very similar material...
