Holy basil or tulsi is a perennial herb native to South Asia. It forms a bush growing to a height of approximately 30–60 cm. The fruit of holy basil is four small brown seeds. The herb has green or purplish leaves, rich in essential oils, spreading a pleasant characteristic aroma.
In Ayurveda, a traditional healing system originating in India, holy basil is a well-known herb. Storage: Store in a dry and dark place.
