Our honest wild tea is planted in Laos by the Puh Noy people in an elaborate manual labor. The indigenous tribe collects the seeds of the original tea plant Camellia sinensis, wild in the rainforest and sows them around their villages. On site, the tea is then gently dried in a small factory.

What is wild tea? Tea has been cultivated and bred for centuries! The original tea plant has thus become more and more genetically modified. By collecting wild seeds, the original genetics are preserved! Wild tea therefore contains more valuable components such as polyphenols and phytochemicals than cultivated teas.

For more than 20 years, the Wildtee project with Puh Noy has been the basis for preserving the rainforest in its original form and providing a valuable source of income for the indigenous tribe. The project is Fair for Life certified! The hill tribes receive an additional premium of $ 1.10 per kilogram of tea sold. In this way, social structures are created, a deep connection with nature is integrated and the forest is protected in its natural form.

Ingredients: Our fair trade wild tea comes from the rainforest in northern Laos. The ethnic minorities of the Puh Noy tribe collect the seeds of the wild indigenous tea plant in their region in socially and ecologically fair cooperation and plant them around their villages. The harvested tea leaves are then processed in a regional factory and prepared for export to Europe.
