Product detailed description
Mustard is an annual plant growing up to one meter tall. It belongs to the Brassicaceae family - cruciferous plants. Its homeland is southern Europe - the Mediterranean region and western Asia. Nowadays, it is cultivated almost all over the world and is considered an important honey plant. The fruit is a pod containing yellow seeds, which are collected. They usually ripen in the second half of August to early September.
White mustard is used not only in gastronomy, but also in the cosmetics industry. Unlike black mustard, which comes from the black mustard plant (lat. Brassica nigra), white mustard is spicier, but milder and less pungent. Interestingly, mustard seeds are not aromatic at all and their spiciness develops after crushing.
