The clove tree is an evergreen tropical tree growing up to 25 m tall. It is native to the islands of Indonesia, but today it is also grown in other tropical parts of the world, such as the islands in the Indian Ocean. The friendly, petiolate leaves grow up to 13 cm long and 6 cm wide. The fully developed flower buds are collected, which are dried in the sun and used mainly as a spice, but also in phytotherapy. Interestingly, the tree reaches its full fertility only after 20 years of life, after which it is able to bear fruit for up to 50 more years.

Clove is a strongly aromatic spice with a very pronounced spicy, even pungent taste. It contributes to maintaining normal digestion and appetite. It is recommended for supporting the natural health of the cardiovascular and respiratorysystems. It supports libido and acts as an antioxidant.

Usage:
Cloves can be added to savory and sweet dishes, compotes or drinks (mulled wine). To release maximum aroma, we recommend crushing the cloves first.
