Dried Shiitake Slices

Also known as Panama mushroom, because it grows on the Panama tree in its native Asia, it smells of garlic and is particularly suitable for drying. Its spicy taste intensifies when dried. From a nutritional point of view, it is a very valuable mushroom, containing fiber, protein, vitamins B, C and the precursor of vitamin D ergosterol, as well as minerals - iron, potassium and zinc. Shiitake is often referred to as the "queen of medicinal mushrooms." It goes great with many dishes - a supply of dried shiitake should therefore not be missing in any kitchen.

It goes great in soups and sauces.

Preparation: Put the dried mushrooms in a bowl and pour boiling water. Let the mushrooms soak for 30-60 minutes. Strain the mushrooms. Use the soaked mushrooms in the same way as fresh mushrooms.
