This green Yerba Mate comes from Brazil. Maté Guarana is flavored with lemongrass and herbs with a touch of dried guarana, which makes its taste sweet and fresh. Marigold and cornflower are plants widely used in traditional medicine. Their colorful flowers give the mixture a specific flavor and enrich the infusion with their colors. Maté is a popular invigorating drink in South America. It is the dried leaves of a tree called the Paraguayan holly. Its effects are attributed to a mixture of alkaloids, the most abundant of which is caffeine (referred to as mateine in the context of mate). Dried mate contains similar amounts of caffeine as coffee beans, but due to the method of consumption (repeated watering), the effect of caffeine is more gradual than in coffee. This Maté is grown, processed and stored without harmful plant protection products and chemical fertilizers. We can prepare it as a hot drink in winter and as an invigorating and refreshing iced tea in summer.

For teas in general, the ecological origin is very important. This is a food that we consume without rinsing, and all pesticide residues used in conventional cultivation remain in the tea and can pass into the infusion.
