Zero Waste is the most beautiful children's bamboo toothbrush on the market. It is specially adapted to children's hands, mouths and teeth. And they will love it for its cute shape and the playful yellow color of the bristles.

Thanks to its unique round shape, it is very comfortable to hold and easy to manipulate in the mouth.

Please note that the manufacturer states the hardness as "soft", but in our opinion it is harder. We would rather say "soft-medium".

It is fully biodegradable in nature, including its nylon bristles, which do not contain BPA (Bisphenol-A). It comes packaged in a tube made of fine, fully biodegradable pulp and in a box made of recycled paper. The bristles are painted with environmentally friendly paints.

Please note that at first, in exceptional cases, a few individual bristles may fall out. The reason is that bamboo bristles cannot be attached as effectively as plastic ones. But there is no need to worry - this does not reduce the functionality of the brush in any way.

BAMBOO IS A SIMPLY WONDERFUL MATERIAL

Bamboo is a great and environmentally friendly material. Some species of this tree grow up to 1 meter per day, create more oxygen in the same area than other trees, do not need pesticides and other chemicals to support ripening. And products made from it are of course fully biodegradable.

WHAT TO DO WITH A BRUSH WHEN IT IS END OF LIFE?

The easiest solution is to return it to the Earth - just bury it somewhere in the forest. It will not take long for it to decompose.

If you throw it in the regular trash, it will probably end up in a landfill. Biowaste has no place there because it decomposes slowly, methane is produced, and the landfill subsides and is not stable.

TENS OF KILOS OF WASTE JUST FROM TOOTHBRUSHES

A person uses many hundreds of toothbrushes in their lifetime, creating up to several tens of kilograms of plastic waste. In the Czech Republic, only a little over 60% of plastic waste is recycled, the rest ends up in landfills or incinerators. Prague alone is capable of producing several tens of tons of unrecycled plastic waste from toothbrushes alone per year. That is why we recommend using biodegradable toothbrushes made from renewable resources - instead of plastic made from oil.

ABOUT THE ZERO WASTE BRAND

The Zero Waste company wants to popularize the idea of zero waste. It only offers products that are either completely biodegradable in nature (including their packaging) or replace disposable ones. Its second brand, which completes the range, is Ecobamboo.

The idea originated in the head of a young Polish student, Adrian, when he was participating in the Erasmus student exchange program in Italy. He lived in a dormitory and was interested in the fact that there was a bin in the bathroom only for plastic toothbrushes. Students threw them away there as soon as they were no longer usable. Unfortunately, only a part of the plastic is recycled worldwide, the rest ends up in landfills with a decomposition time of hundreds of years. The same fate awaited these plastic toothbrushes.

Two years later, he traveled through Asia and noticed that the locals used many bamboo products. He wondered if bamboo could also work for toothbrushes. It turned out to be a great idea - a toothbrush that is made of natural material, fully biodegradable, and can compete well with conventional plastic toothbrushes.
