Dried spelt sourdough
BIOVEGAN spelt sourdough extract is characterized by its slightly nutty aroma. Even Hildegard von Bingen appreciated spelt for body and soul due to its high protein, vitamin and mineral content.
Content: 30 g (per 1 kg of flour)
Ingredients: from whole wheat flour (spelt)*.
*from controlled organic cultivation
Preparation instructions - Spelt sourdough bread (for 2 loaves)
700 g spelt flour
300 grams rye flour
2 sachets of BIOVEGAN yeast
2 teaspoons of salt
650 ml of lukewarm water
a little fat for the baking dish
Mix all dry ingredients well. Add 650 ml of water and knead for 5 minutes. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for 60 minutes. Then knead the dough again, prepare some flour for this. Divide the dough in half and let it rest covered in 2 greased molds for 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 190 °C for air circulation or 210 °C for top/bottom heating. Then bake the loaves with a bowl of water for about 60 minutes. After baking, turn the loaves out and let them cool on a wire rack.
