Cashew nuts grow on trees up to 12 meters high. After harvesting, the nuts in their hard shells are briefly boiled in water to soften the shell. They are then shelled by hand. To preserve their original flavor, they are finally carefully dried at a temperature of 50 - 60 °C and then stored in vacuum bags until they are packaged for the final consumer. They can be eaten on their own, used in curry mixtures, fried rice, sweets or gently fried with a little salt water. If we dry roast them without salt and blend them, we get an excellent cashew "butter" for pastries, porridges, yoghurts, etc.
