For making preserves (gelling agent).Preparation:
The fruit is boiled briefly, then 3 - 4 teaspoons (7 - 10g) of pectin mixed with 3 - 4 teaspoons of sugar are added per 1 kg of fruit, boiled for 5 minutes and then 300 - 600g of sugar is added according to taste. Then it is boiled until thickened. Adding lemon juice improves the setting of the jams.
