Natural cane molasses sugar is produced by thickening cane juice from which some of the sugar has already been removed. It has fine, moist crystals and the typical taste and aroma of cane molasses. The dark brown color is the result of leaving the molasses in the sugar crystals. Molasses sugar is excellent in marinades, sauces and spicy doughs. Add it by the spoonful to enhance the taste of apple strudels and cakes, chocolate doughs and gingerbread. It is great in spicy sweet and sour marinades and soy sauce marinades - e.g. with ginger and garlic. A spoonful of molasses sugar will enhance the taste of tomato pasta sauces and hot mixtures. If the sugar hardens, just leave it in a bowl covered with a wet cloth overnight.
