Hazelnuts are the only nuts originally from Europe and contain high-quality oils, B vitamins and a significant amount of vitamin E (100g contains more than twice the recommended daily dose). The Levantin variety is characterized by a full, distinctive taste and aroma and the size of the kernels. Cultivation and harvesting on ecofarms are carried out in a gentle manner according to the principles of organic farming. Harvesting begins in mid-August, when ripe nuts are shaken off the trees and collected by hand. The nuts are left to dry naturally. Just before export, the outer shell is carefully cracked so as not to damage the kernel. This way, the nuts are kept as fresh as possible. Thanks to careful sorting, only healthy, high-quality kernels with a minimum amount of bad nuts reach the customer. We recommend these hazelnuts for cooking and baking, as well as for direct snacking or in nut mixtures. By gently roasting them dry (on a baking sheet in the oven at 170°C for about 15 minutes until they start to smell), we will enhance the taste and aroma of hazelnuts, which we want to use in desserts, cakes, sweets and the like.
