Due to its longevity and hundreds of seeds in the fruit, the pomegranate tree symbolized eternal youth and fertility in ancient Persia. The juice is pressed from fresh pomegranate fruits and is used in cocktails, juices, salads and meat.
Is the juice suitable for vegans? Some manufacturers filter the juice through gelatin after pressing. Beutelsbacher does NOT use gelatin in its production, and this brand's juices are therefore also suitable for strict vegans.
What is direct pressing? Regular juices are made from concentrate, which is produced by evaporating the pressed juice. Juice concentrated in this way is cheaper to transport and store. Before filling into the final package, the concentrate is diluted with water. Thickening has a negative effect on both the vitamin content and the taste of the juice. Direct pressing juices are obtained by pressing fresh fruit and immediately bottling the pressed juice. The juice is then pasteurized by a brief, gentle heating process, which ensures the microbiological safety of the juice. Pasteurized juice does not need to be stored in the refrigerator until opened. The difference between juice from concentrate and juice from direct pressing is noticeable at the first sip - taste it!
