Mussels in BIO marinade with BIO olive oil

Innards of mussels farmed on floating wooden rafts in clear, plankton-rich water off the coast of Galicia in northwestern Spain. Sliced in a homemade marinade of virgin olive oil, vinegar and spices from certified organic farming.

The mussels are farmed on so-called "Bateas" off the coast of Galicia. These are wooden fences anchored to the seabed and equipped with a 12-15 m long rope. After about 1 to 3 years of growth, the mussels are harvested. The shells do not come into contact with the seabed, are very clean and do not contain sand.
