Passata with basil Rustica 680 g BIO RAPUNZEL

Passata rustica contains coarsely crushed tomatoes softened with fresh basil. This passata was prepared by gently processing fresh tomatoes that had naturally ripened in the sun until red, which were grown according to the principles of controlled organic farming. The tomatoes ripened in sunny Umbria and were quickly processed after harvest. The passata manufacturer only uses fruits that grew on his own organic farm. The tomatoes do not have to be transported long distances after harvest and the manufacturer has complete control over what fruits are used in production. After harvest, the tomatoes are immediately transported to the processing plant, where they are peeled, heated and strained through a coarse sieve. Basil is then added, the mixture is filled into bottles and the product is pasteurized after sealing. Unlike tomato puree, passata is not thickened during production, so it retains more of the natural taste and aroma of tomatoes than tomato puree. We can use it instead of tomatoes in sauces and soups if we lack fresh tomatoes at home, or if we want to avoid their lengthy processing. Passata rustica forms the ideal basis for pasta sauces, soups and vegetable mixtures.
