We took 400 grams of our pears from the orchards in Beckov and reduced them with heat for more than two days at our home in Moravia. The result is thick, wonderfully sticky jams to which we didn't have to add anything at all. No sugar, no thickener, no flavoring. They are wonderfully sweet and taste more pear-like than the pears themselves. You can bake the best buns with them. And sauces. And with potato pancakes they are irresistible...
