Hazelnuts are the only nuts originally from Europe and contain high-quality oils, B vitamins and a significant amount of vitamin E (100g contains more than twice the recommended daily dose). The Levantin variety is characterized by a full, distinctive taste and aroma and the size of the kernels. Cultivation and harvesting on ecofarms are carried out in a gentle manner according to the principles of organic farming. Harvesting begins in mid-August, when ripe nuts are shaken off the trees and collected by hand. The nuts are left to dry naturally. Just before export, the outer shell is carefully cracked so as not to damage the kernel. This way, the nuts are kept as fresh as possible. Thanks to careful sorting, only healthy, high-quality kernels with a minimum amount of bad nuts reach the customer. We recommend them for cooking and baking, but also for direct snacking or in nut mixtures.
These hazelnuts are gently roasted with hot air to slightly enhance their flavor. Blending them makes an excellent hazelnut "butter" for baking, porridge, yogurt, and more.
These nuts come from the TURKEY project of Rapunzel.
