Green form of traditional South American herbal tea (Paraguayan holly). The infusion has a green-brown color and a slightly smoky aroma. The taste is strong, slightly astringent and long-lasting. Maté is traditionally prepared in a calabaza (a container made of a special gourd) and drunk through a bombilla (a metal tube with a strainer at the bottom). However, it can be prepared in any way. It contains caffeine.
