Yerba mate is nicknamed the "drink of the gods", it is very popular in Brazil or Paraguay and especially in Argentina, where it is drunk as often as coffee here. Unlike it, however, it contains roughly half the amount of caffeine and at the same time a whole range of other substances - vitamins, minerals and antioxidants that cannot be found in coffee. The caffeine from mate is also released gradually and lasts longer - unlike coffee, there are not such significant fluctuations in energy level and mood, and the stimulation is smoother and lasts longer. Yerba also irritates the stomach and digestive system less, unlike coffee it even benefits it, it also does not cause bad breath.
