Clearspring Malt Syrups have a rich, smooth taste and a more subtle sweetness than sugar, honey or maple syrup. This makes them less overpowering and can be used to sweeten hot drinks and baked goods, as well as as a topping for cakes, pancakes and desserts. Rice Malt Syrup has a subtle, buttery caramel flavour that will add a subtle sweetness to your recipe. Note: When using malt syrups in place of sugar in baking, they should be added to the liquid ingredients of the recipe rather than to the solid ingredients such as flour. It may also be necessary to adjust the amount of solid ingredients to avoid creating a dough that is too wet.
