RAPUNZEL whole-grain spaghetti made from durum wheat does not stick or boil and has a pleasant, not very “whole-grain” taste. We therefore use them as classic pasta made from white durum wheat flour. If we want to highlight the natural taste of whole-grain pasta, we choose sauces with a less pronounced taste. Conversely, thick sauces with a pronounced taste and color, or with a lot of parmesan cheese for sprinkling, will disguise even from the sworn opponent of a healthy diet that they are currently consuming “grain”! In general, the taste of whole-grain pasta is perfectly complemented by a sweet taste. We recommend trying it, for example, with dried cane juice panela, linseed oil and ground poppy seeds, sesame or cottage cheese.

The Alce Nero Association, the Italian manufacturer of RAPUNZEL pasta, grows all the spelt and most of the durum wheat for production. The rest of the wheat is purchased from organic farmers from the regions of Umbria, Puglia and Tuscany, and the pasta is therefore of purely Italian origin. The only other ingredient in the basic pasta line is spring water from the forests of the Cesane plateau. The production takes place in the traditional way, i.e. by slow drying for more than 8 hours at low temperatures of up to 65 °C. Therefore, this pasta has a natural characteristic taste and an ideal structure when cooked al dente. We can really recommend RAPUNZEL Italian pasta to true lovers of this dish.
