Tasting pure pineapple juice from direct pressing is truly an experience and compared to regular pineapple juices from concentrate, it is a completely different drink. Organic pineapples are pressed fresh at the point of harvest, which is more advantageous in terms of nutritional and taste properties. The resulting taste is truly delicious even compared to organic "competitors".
Is the juice suitable for vegans? Some manufacturers filter the juice through gelatin after pressing. Beutelsbacher does NOT use gelatin in production and this brand's juices are therefore suitable even for strict vegans.
What is direct pressing? Regular juices are made from concentrate, which is produced by evaporating the pressed juice. Juice concentrated in this way is cheaper to transport and store. The concentrate is diluted with water before filling into the final package. Thickening has a negative effect on both the vitamin content and the taste of the juice. Direct-pressed juices are obtained by pressing fresh fruit and immediately bottling the juice. The juice is then pasteurized by a brief, gentle heating process to ensure the microbiological safety of the juice. Pasteurized juice does not need to be stored in the refrigerator until opened. The difference between juice from concentrate and juice from direct pressing is noticeable at the first sip - taste it!
