This juice is made from ripe Italian tomatoes of the original non-hybrid variety, which have been gently pressed to preserve maximum nutrients and flavour. The juice is then lightly salted with sea salt and seasoned with black pepper from Madagascar. The tomatoes come from biodynamic farming.
What is direct pressing? Conventional juices are made from concentrate, which is produced by evaporating the pressed juice. Juice concentrated in this way is cheaper to transport and store. The concentrate is diluted with water before being filled into the final packaging. Thickening has a negative effect on both the vitamin content and the flavour of the juice. Direct pressing juices are obtained by pressing fresh fruit and immediately bottling the pressed juice. The juice is then pasteurised by a brief gentle heating process, which ensures the microbiological safety of the juice. Pasteurised juice does not need to be stored in the fridge until it is opened. The difference between juice from concentrate and juice from direct pressing is noticeable at the first sip - taste it!
Is the juice suitable for vegans? Some manufacturers filter the juice through gelatin after pressing. Beutelsbacher does NOT use gelatin in production, and the juices of this brand are therefore also suitable for strict vegans.

What is demeter? Biodynamic farming complies with all the requirements of organic farming, and products bearing the demeter certificate are also certified organic. However, biodynamic farming is stricter in some respects and farmers must follow a number of additional procedures compared to organic farming. The priority is to naturally increase soil fertility, for example using natural products and crop rotation. The farm is seen as a whole, where each activity affects other activities. A biodynamic farmer perceives nature and farms in harmony with the environment and not against it. Biodynamically grown products carry the protected Demeter label and are certified and controlled in the same way as organic products.
